Job summary

Oslo University Hospital (OUH) invites applications for a permanent Senior Consultant combined with Professor II/Associate Professor II (Medicine) at UiO. The role spans clinical leadership in minimally invasive surgery and strategic research collaboration across OUH and UiO.

Attendees must hold Norwegian board certification in surgery and excel in interdisciplinary teamwork. The position offers a 20% Professor II appointment, extensive research facilities, and opportunities to drive innovation

Qualifications

Norwegian board certification in surgery is required.
Broad experience in surgery and related research, preferably within minimally invasive surgery.
Experience in industry collaboration and research-driven innovation.
Strong collaboration skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent in Norwegian and English with strong communication skills.
Strong documentation and reporting skills for clinical and research activities.

Responsibilities

Jointly manage all projects within minimally invasive surgery at The Intervention Centre.
Promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration across the Centre.
Coordinate resource contributions from other departments to support research.
Oversee industry partnerships, including organizing trainings and visits.
Ensure strong communication between the Centre and internal/external collaborators.
