Job summary

Alfred Recruitment LLP is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer in London to lead projects, coordinate with clients, and mentor junior engineers. You will work across a diverse portfolio and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

You'll manage project briefs, risk, and design documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, KeySign, and Lighting Reality, with a 4‑day office, 1‑day WFH pattern and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required; MEng preferred.
• Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE is required.

Responsibilities

• Managing civil engineering projects with full client and third‑party liaison.
• Coordinating with engineers, technicians and senior team members.
• Managing risk within your area of responsibility (H&S and commercial).
• Taking technical ownership of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents.
• Preparing or reviewing project briefs, fee proposals and resource plans.
• Supporting development of project cost estimates and identifying additional work opportunities.
• Analysing technical problems and developing practical engineering solutions.
