Job summary

Golar LNG is seeking a motivated Safety & Quality Engineer to develop within the HSSEQ field and gain exposure to operational, technical and organisational processes. You will support safe and reliable FLNG operations by collaborating with offshore and onshore teams and following up on risk management, investigations and continuous development of our management systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office applications and able to navigate SharePoint and Power BI.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Experience or strong interest in Health, Safety, Quality and Risk Management.
• Residence in Norway and willingness to travel for the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HSSEQ activities across offshore and onshore operations.
• Maintain and update safety and quality documentation, systems and reporting tools.
• Monitor, maintain and report performance indicators and KPIs.
• Support audits, inspections, investigations and follow-up activities.
• Participate in risk management activities and ensure risk processes are applied.
• Work with offshore teams to promote compliance and HSSEQ practices.
• Contribute to emergency preparedness activities, planning and exercises.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve operations.
• Support the HSSEQ Manager in ensuring compliance with requirements.

We are looking for a motivated and curious Safety & Quality Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop within the HSSEQ field and gain broad exposure to operational, technical and organisational processes.

As a Safety & Quality Engineer, you will support safe and reliable FLNG operations by working closely with offshore and onshore teams and following up with client on risk management, investigations, performance improvement and the continuous development of our management systems.

The role combines reporting, coordination, and a wide range of safety and quality-related activities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, following up on details and having an impact on safe and efficient operations both offshore and onshore.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Safety & Quality team, you will support and coordinate a range of HSSEQ activities across our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and following up on HSSEQ activities across offshore and onshore operations
• Maintaining and updating safety and quality documentation, systems and reporting tools
• Monitoring, maintaining and reporting performance indicators and KPIs
• Supporting audits, inspections, investigations and follow-up activities
• Participating in risk management activities and helping ensure that risk processes are effectively applied
• Working closely with offshore teams to promote compliance and good HSSEQ practices
• Contributing to emergency preparedness activities, planning and exercises
• Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the way we work
• Supporting the HSSEQ Manager in ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

We believe the right candidate is someone who enjoys combining analytical work with practical collaboration. You are comfortable following up on details and recurring tasks, while also bringing the curiosity and initiative to challenge existing processes.

Ideally, you have:

• A BSc or MSc in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline
• Operational experience from construction, oil and gas, offshore, maritime, industrial or other safety‑critical environments is preferred
• Good knowledge of, or a demonstrated interest in, Health, Safety, Quality and Risk Management
• Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience with SharePoint and Power BI
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
• Residence in Norway
• Experience from offshore, maritime, energy or industrial environments is an advantage, but we are equally interested in highly motivated candidates who are eager to develop their HSSEQ career and make a meaningful contribution to safe and reliable FLNG operations. Some travel is expected as part of the role.
