Job description

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, owning two leading airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe’s Flyveselskap. Norwegian operates an extensive network connecting the Nordics with major European cities, while Widerøe primarily serves short-runway airports in rural Norway, providing vital regional connectivity.

Our people are the heart of Norwegian.

We embrace a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion. This is essential to our success and makes us stronger together. Our people bring different knowledge, experiences, and backgrounds, but we all share a passion for our vision: to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.

Are you our new Safety Advisor, Cabin?

As Safety Advisor, Cabin, you will support the day-to-day operation of Norwegian’s Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring high-quality handling of cabin related safety issues and fatigue reports. You will assess and investigate safety occurrences, operational hazards or concerns, equipment issues, and fatigue-related concerns while promoting an open, fair, and proactive safety culture.

Through analysis, investigations, and collaboration with operational stakeholders, you will help identify underlying causes and develop practical measures that strengthen the safety of our operations.

In this role, you will:
  • Administer the cabin safety and fatigue reporting databases, including initial reviews, risk rating, coding, tracking, and timely processing of reports.
  • Lead or support confidential investigations into cabin safety incidents, operational hazards, cabin equipment issues, and fatigue-related events.
  • Retrieve and analyse flight documentation, crew schedules, planned and actual rosters, training records, operational procedures, and relevant sleep or circadian factors.
  • Conduct professional, objective, and non-punitive interviews with cabin crew and other operational personnel in line with Just Culture principles.
  • Prepare accurate and objective investigation reports using relevant root-cause analysis methodologies.
  • Develop and submit practical safety recommendations with suggested procedural improvements, preventive actions, and fatigue-mitigation proposals for review by safety leadership.
  • Prepare data, safety trend analyses, and presentations for the Cabin Safety Action Group meetings and other safety meetings.
  • Support in the creation of safety-promotion materials and safety documentation.
  • Ensure investigations and follow-up actions are completed accurately and within established timelines while maintaining excellent data integrity.
  • Other SMS related tasks.
You are our ideal candidate if you:
  • Are a trained and experienced Cabin Crew member, preferably with operational experience on Boeing 737 aircraft.
  • Maintain full operational currency and remain up to date with relevant procedures, emergency drills, and company manuals.
  • Have a understanding of Safety Management System principles and are motivated to further develop your knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment.
  • Have a strong interest in human factors and how fatigue affects crew in day-to-day operations.
  • Are familiar with EASA aviation regulations, Flight Time Limitations, and relevant cabin safety standards.
  • Are strongly committed to Just Culture and to promoting an open and honest reporting environment.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and can identify patterns and extract meaningful insights from safety data.
  • Can conduct empathetic, professional, and objective interviews.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally and have excellent written and verbal English skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality formal reports.
  • Can work independently, take ownership of assigned investigations, and build constructive relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive personal, medical, and fatigue-related information with complete confidentiality and integrity.
  • Have strong digital skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
It would be an advantage if you:
  • Have experience as a Cabin Instructor.
  • Have previous experience or formal training in accident or incident investigation methodologies.
  • Have experience with safety reporting, risk analysis, or other SMS-related activities.
We can offer:
