Stingray Marine Solutions AS is seeking a Research Data Scientist to turn complex aquaculture data into scientific insights and practical applications.

You will work within the Research team to build analytical workflows, validate models, and deliver data-driven solutions for fish welfare and production across Norway, Iceland, and beyond. Strong R/Python, SQL/Snowflake skills and a PhD are required, with English fluency essential.

Qualifikationen

• PhD required in aquaculture, biology, environmental science or related life/natural science.
• 3-5 years of additional research or analytical experience preferred.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills in R or Python.
• Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Power BI and reproducible analytical workflows is an advantage.
• English fluency essential; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.

• Develop analytical workflows and statistical models from complex biological and operational data.
• Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and customer-facing teams to transform data into robust insights.
• Define data requirements and build reproducible analytic workflows and reusable data pipelines.
• Interpret and communicate findings to internal and external audiences to support decision-making.
