Job summary

OceanWave Maritime is seeking a part-time Back-End Developer to design, code, and modify our website and web applications, collaborating with front-end teams to integrate server-side logic. This role focuses on performance, scalability, and robust deployment across environments.

We welcome candidates with strong Java, Python or Ruby on Rails skills, SQL/NoSQL experience (MongoDB), and familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Remote-friendly with visa sponsorship for non-US citizens; based in the US.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience with web servers (Apache) and deployment processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
