Job summary

Jobgether partners with a Norwegian school to recruit an Online Science Teacher for Environmental & Physical Science. This fully remote, fixed-term role runs January to March 2027, with onboarding completed by December 2026 and CET (Spain/Italy time).

You will deliver live online classes, use digital labs and simulations, monitor progress, give feedback, and collaborate with families and the teaching team to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific confidence in students.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Environmental Science, Physics, Science Education, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Science and Physical Science.
• Availability for the complete teaching schedule from January to March 2027.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and technology-enabled education.
• Teaching qualification (degree/license or postgraduate certificate) preferred.
• Previous online teaching experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging live lessons covering Environmental Science and Physical Science.
• Teach key concepts such as ecosystems, sustainability, energy, forces and motion, matter and its properties.
• Guide students through the scientific method, including formulating questions, investigations, observations, and conclusions.
• Use digital teaching tools, virtual laboratories, simulations, and interactive resources.
• Assess student understanding, provide feedback, and adapt teaching approaches.
• Prepare meaningful homework, learning activities, and assessments.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and the wider academic team.
• Contribute to development of educational resources and student learning experience.
