Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Norwegian Language Specialist to review AI-generated Norwegian content and craft high-quality reference material. You will assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness, providing precise feedback in English.

You will also write rewrites and model answers, rate AI outputs, and help improve model performance across multiple domains in a remote hourly contractor role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Native Norwegian reading and writing required.
• Strong English proficiency (C1) to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language work.
• Deep understanding of Norwegian grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create prompts and gold-standard Norwegian answers across domains.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI outputs for fluency, tone, and cultural accuracy.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Detect unsafe or misleading content, factual hallucinations, and bias; validate reliability across use cases.
