Job summary

White Light Digital Marketing is seeking a Link Building Manager to own our off-page SEO portfolio. You will lead a remote team of freelance link builders, set monthly targets, and ensure high-quality backlinks across multiple client accounts, including competitive niches such as iGaming.

This leadership role requires strategic thinking, decisive management, and strict adherence to quality, with responsibility for strategy, output, and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a link-building leadership role.
• Strong understanding of backlink strategy and risk management.
• Experience managing remote SEO teams.
• Proficiency with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and outreach tools.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, structure, and scale a team of freelance link builders.
• Set monthly targets and quality benchmarks.
• Monitor KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure accountability and consistent output.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new link builders.
• Own and improve the link-building strategy across accounts.
• Approve high-value opportunities and oversee standards.
• Maintain anchor text strategy, link velocity, and backlink health.
• Identify risks like over-optimization or toxic links.
• Test and implement advanced link-building strategies (digital PR, outreach, niche edits, partnerships).
• Develop and refine SOPs to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Improve workflows, tracking systems, and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with SEO and Content teams to align link acquisition with ranking goals.
• Maintain strong publisher and partner relationships.
• Track acquisition performance against targets and report to leadership.
