As a technician, you will be responsible for hardware installations, troubleshooting, and managing network operations. With over 3 years of experience in data center operations and familiarity with Cisco and Juniper devices, candidates should be adept at working independently and able to communicate with remote teams. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, preferably with freelance projects.
• Valid certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Linux+ are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain servers and networking equipment for optimal performance.
• Monitor operations and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot networking devices to ensure secure operations.
• Manage both Linux and Windows systems for updates and security.
• Document installations and maintenance tasks for accountability.
• Implement security protocols to protect data integrity.
• Collaborate with remote teams to enhance operations.

Skills

Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices

Strong proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux-based systems

Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs)

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
