Job description
About the role

This position owns the coordination of procurement and production activities for engineered builds—typically welded frames, cylinders, and hydraulic assemblies. The role ensures that project plans are current, materials are sourced and delivered to schedule, and assembly and testing proceed without unnecessary engineering intervention. You will maintain clear status, proactively manage risks, and coordinate suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure timely and compliant delivery.

What you’ll do
  • Turn released engineering production packages into action:Translate released production packages into RFQs and POs in NetSuite; confirm quality requirements and lead times with approved suppliers.
  • Plan & coordinate builds:Maintain a clear project plan per build (materials, key dates, assembly start, test milestones) and keep status up to date.
  • Run procurement end-to-end:Source quotes, place/track POs within AFE limits, follow up order confirmations, manage deliveries and logistics while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Supplier follow-up:Coordinate suppliers across NO/UK/US; expedite proactively and surface risks early with mitigation options. Further develop supplier network in different regions.
  • Production change coordination (non-design):When parts change late, handle the production-side impact only(updated PO dates/qtys, alternates, split deliveries, staging).
  • Receiving & staging:On arrival, perform visual/interface checks and verify documentation; stage kits for assembly and ensure test materials/equipment are ready when due.
  • Documentation & systems hygiene:Keep production documentation references and ERP data aligned.
What success looks like
  • Project plans are always current and trusted by Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
  • Procurement and assembly flows are under control: clear status, risks called early, next steps owned.
  • Builds progress without engineers needing to manage suppliers or chase parts.
What you bring
  • 3–7+ years in procurement/production coordination for low-volume or project-based industrial equipment.
  • Comfortable working with ERP/PLM (NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Strong supplier communication, expediting, and organization across multiple concurrent builds.
  • Norwegian and English, professional proficiency.
  • Bonus (not required):Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic hydraulic schematics; familiarity with machining/welding/hydraulic components and FAT/pressure testing.
Authority & interfaces
  • Authority:Approve POs within approved AFE limits; select from approved suppliers (new suppliers require approval).
  • Interfaces:Design Engineering (inputs/clarifications), Operations (build execution), Suppliers, Logistics, and Finance/AP.
Nice to have
  • Experience with welded fabrications, machined parts, cylinders, hoses/fittings, valves, etc.
  • Multi-site supplier and light site visits when helpful.

Location:Stavanger. Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.
