About the job

At Nordic Semiconductor, we are looking for a (Senior) radio system Engineer with a strong focus on signal processing and innovation to join our short-range algorithm team.

In this role you will work together with the team analyzing new complex features planned for our future radio IPs and breaking these down into functions. With a strong foundation in IC design (either analog with understanding of digital or digital with understanding of analog), RF systems and architecture, wireless protocols, and low‑power techniques, you’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment where your problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and proactive mindset will make a real impact. Key responsibilities

As a member of the short‑range radio team in Nordic Semiconductor you will be responsible for analyzing, and designing new radio features. This includes responsibilities like:

  • Interpreting standards and translate complex requirements into implementable functions
  • Transfer understanding to the designer, and provide timely and clear deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of advanced signal processing algorithms and innovative solutions to push the boundaries of wireless communication technology
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define the architecture and specifications for radio systems Drive verification with the implementation teams to ensure the implementation is fulfilling specifications.
Qualification and skills

Key Qualifications:

  • RF systems and architecture
  • Modulation and coding
  • Matlab and python modelling
  • Experience with testing and prototyping (hands on experience with real hardware).
  • Experience with Wireless standards and regulations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bluetooth Core Specification (in particular Phy layer) knowledge
  • Experience with standards and regulations
  • PLL architectures and design
  • Indoor positioning and ranging
  • Wireless propagation (link budget, multipath, channel models…)
  • Embedded firmware
