Job summary

FamilyFirst Qatar is seeking a QA Engineer on a contract basis to join our Alta, Norway team. You will develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and at least 2 years of QA experience, with knowledge of SDLC and automation tools. Accommodation is provided during the contract period.

QA Engineer (Contract)

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled QA Engineer to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Contract QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of our software products. This role is open to all genders and includes accommodation during the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for software applications
• Identify, record, and track defects to resolution
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Communicate test progress, results, and recommendations to project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies
• Experience with testing automation tools such as Selenium or Appium
• Ability to write clear and concise test cases and reports
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

• Experience working in an Agile environment
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python
