Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Dynatec is seeking a hands-on project technician to support building and upgrading production facilities across Norway and Sweden. You will participate in assembly, installation and commissioning, ensuring mechanical, electrical and automation systems work together on site.
Applicants should have a background in automation, electrical engineering or mechanics, with a relevant trade certificate or engineering degree preferred. Expect extensive travel and long site stints on customer projects.
Dynatec is looking for more talented people. Among other positions, we are looking for a project technician who wants to help build new production facilities and carry out major upgrades for our customers.
Someone has designed the solution. The machines have been manufactured and the components are on their way. Now everything needs to come together and become a production facility that keeps running for many years to come.
This is where you come in. Imagine arriving at an empty production facility with pallets full of brand-new production equipment. When you leave for the final time, production is up and running, and freshly made food products are on their way to someone's plate.
You will spend most of your working time at customer sites in Norway and Sweden. As a project technician, you will typically stay at the same site for an extended period. You will follow the project through assembly, installation and commissioning - from the first components are put in to place until the customer has a fully operational production facility.
Dynatec is one of Scandinavia's most innovative companies within automation, delivering automation solutions and production machinery to industries in both Norway and Sweden. Dynatec develops and manufactures its own equipment.
We also distribute machines and equipment from suppliers in several countries, either as standalone machines or as integrated components of complete production lines.
Our product areas include factory planning, robotic solutions, dosing systems, ovens, cooling and freezing solutions, packaging, product inspection, conveyor systems, palletizing, industrial washing machines, service and spare parts. Dynatec AS is part of Dynatec Group, which has around 160 employees and annual revenues of approximately NOK 500 million. Dynatec has a solid and stable financial position and is a family-owned company characterized by strong technical expertise, innovation and a long-term perspective.
As a project technician, you will work hands-on with the assembly, installation and commissioning of production equipment and complete production lines.
You need to understand how mechanics, electrical systems, automation and processes work together. The drawings show how the solution is intended to work. Out in the real world, machines, conveyors, cables, pipes and components all need to fit together - and ultimately, a product needs to come out at the other end.
You will be an important technical resource on site and work closely with colleagues, suppliers and the customer throughout the installation.
You will work with and among other things:
The goal is quite simple: to reach the day when we can press the start button and see that the facility does what we promised the customer it would do.
We are looking for a hands-on professional with a background in automation, electrical engineering or mechanics. A trade certificate is an advantage, but technical college, an engineering degree or other relevant qualifications may also be suitable.
We expect you to have:
Experience with the installation and commissioning of production equipment or complete production lines is particularly relevant.
You enjoy building things and seeing a tangible result from your work. You work systematically, solve problems as they arise and collaborate well with both your colleagues and other disciplines involved in the project.
You also need to enjoy project work. This means plenty of travel and extended periods living and working at the site where the facility is being built. In return, you get to follow the project from start to completed production.
You will work with advanced production facilities and market-leading equipment, and become part of an experienced technical environment with strong expertise in mechanics, electrical systems, automation and production.
We invest in training and product expertise. At Dynatec, taking responsibility means being given responsibility - and opportunities to develop.
You will receive a competitive salary, pension and insurance - we can talk about all that during the first interview. The overall package is good. You will have a company service vehicle, which can be used privately in accordance with applicable regulations, and we expect you to be legally entitled to drive it.
A permanent position in a stable and growing company, plenty of responsibility and a highly varied working day. You will be involved in the entire journey – from drawings and individual components to a production facility that is actually producing.
And when one project is finished, there will be another one waiting.
Interested? We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
