Your mission

Take on a new challenge in Oslo and apply your procurement expertise for Alstom Digital and Integrated (D&IS) product line. As a Project Procurement Manager (PPM) you will work alongside collaborative and driven teammates to ensure procurement contributes effectively to the success of project objectives.

Your profile

You are result and data driven and enjoy working with cross functional teams. You are comfortable and able to adapt in a multicultural environment and respect deadlines and take ownership of your scope. You have a natural way of combining interpersonal skills and solving day to day project topics while aligning with global procurement strategy. PPM is able to act as a single point of contact of procurement within the project and with sub-system managers to define procurement strategy, supplier selection, DFQ gates governance, risk management including savings and opportunities.

Your main responsibilities
  • Ensuring alignment of procurement strategies with project requirements
  • Managing complex supplier relationships to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Driving cost optimization and design to cost activities within the project team and compliance with procurement policies
  • Supporting Project Manager and Sub-system manager such as (Installation design, Project Engineering manager, Contract Manager, Finance Project Manager) to achieve procurement related project milestones
  • Monitoring and mitigating procurement risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring adherence to Alstom’s ethical and sustainability standards in procurement activities
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers on complex commodities and ensuring back to back customer conditions are cascaded to suppliers. Full compliance to Alstom golden rules on terms and conditions
  • Close collaboration with Finance on the evolution of material cost and subcontracting over the horizon of the project. Continuously identifying and implementing ways of cost optimization and improvements to enhance procurement efficiency
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Master’s degree in purchasing or equivalent (engineering, project management, Finance, Business Administration…)
  • 5 years or more of relevant work experience in Procurement and/ or Project Management, Engineering
  • Knowledge of sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and problem solving mindset
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Leadership and team collaboration
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in English is a must and proficiency in a Scandinavian language is an asset
  • Knowledge in SAP is desirable
  • Railway signalling knowledge is desirable
