Job summary

Axess Group in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer - Crane and Lifting to lead crane and lifting projects. You will coordinate resources, plan execution, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while maximizing project profitability.

You will work with clients, offshore/onshore teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive successful project execution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Commercial, i.e. business and customer oriented.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Outgoing, committed, and good at building relationships and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in tenders and bid processes.
  • Take ownership of projects from proposals through to concept select, delivery and closeout.
  • Plan methods and concepts for lifting and installation assignments.
  • Coordinate with clients, offshore and onshore personnel, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget compliance.
  • Prepare lift/execution plans and HSE evaluations (HAZIDS/HAZOPS).
  • Interface with suppliers and internal Axess stakeholders.
  • Participate in site visits and field execution, offshore and onshore.

Axess North America is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer - Crane and Lifting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating crane and lifting projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful execution of operations while maximizing the financial performance of each project in accordance with contract requirements.

This role involves project planning, resource coordination, client communication, and oversight of operational activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards. The Project Engineer will work closely with clients, offshore and onshore personnel, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support project execution and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in tenders and bid processes
  • Be responsible for projects and processes in regard to technical /administrative / finance / solutions development
  • Plan methods and concepts for e.g. execution of complex lifting and installation assignments
  • Taking ownership of projects, from proposals through to concept select, project delivery and project closeout.
  • Participate in business development towards local clients, typically energy / operator companies
  • Preparation of lift / execution plans Participate and create HSE evaluations / HAZIDS / Fault Trees / HAZOPS / Failure analysis
  • Basic drawings and analysis for projects
  • Interface with suppliers and Axess’ internal stakeholders
  • Participation in site visit and execution of field assignments, offshore and onshore
Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Commercial, i.e. business and customer oriented
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Outgoing, committed, and good at building relationships and building trust
  • A team player who is motivated by working in a multidisciplinary professional environment with varied tasks
