Job summary

EG is looking for a Product Owner to lead the backlog and act as the bridge between customers, developers, and stakeholders. You will collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure the product meets strategic goals and user needs, with flexibility on work location across Bergen, Trondheim, Tromsø, and Oslo.

You will prioritise development work, translate needs into concrete requirements, and drive value through close collaboration with an international team in Norway and beyond, including India.

Qualifications

• Bridgebuilder with a focus on value creation.
• Curiosity to explore new ways to build efficient, sustainable solutions.
• Experience in organisations that develop software.
• Thrives both in a team and independently.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT.
• Genuine interest in how AI can support product development and prioritisation.
• Experience as a Product Owner is an advantage.
• At least three years of relevant work experience is an advantage.
• Strong Norwegian and English skills, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Understand and describe customer needs, prioritise development work for maximum value.
• Own and develop the product backlog; translate needs into concrete requirements.
• Prioritise tasks based on business value, user needs, and technical considerations.
• Keep the backlog clear, transparent, and easy to understand.
• Be available to clarify and support the team throughout development.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, review, and retrospective.
• Ensure the team has the right context and priorities.
