Make an impact with Laerdal!

Make a difference with Laerdal where immersive technology transforms healthcare quality and education across the globe. With over 2,200 colleagues, join a team where collaboration and engagement are prioritized in helping save one million more lives, every year, by 2030.

Build the front door to everything our customers do with RQI

RQI Partners (RQI-P) is the joint venture of the American Heart Association and Laerdal that helps healthcare organizations deliver high-quality CPR through the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program. Our portfolio is expanding and currently contains Fleet Management, RQI1Stop, cprfinder.com, AI and Analytics, and the RUN network. Each tool is valuable alone, but together they should feel like one seamless experience.
That is the mission of the new Shared Experiences and Capabilities (SEC) team in the Alliance Product Management & Development Organization.

About the role

As the Product Manager of SEC, you will own the shared foundation that lets every other application plug in, so customers get one place to start, one sign-in and one way to navigate, while our products stay simple to build and maintain. You will be the first product manager of this newly established team, working alongside a designer and a technical lead. Laerdal has already proven a solution pattern for this challenge, and you will adapt and improve it for our RQI customers.

What you will own

The vision, strategy and roadmap for a framework where other teams’ products plug in.

First: a shared landing page, navigation patterns across products and a user authorization module.

Next: self-service capabilities such as service requests, an invoice archive, online education and ordering of consumables and replacement parts.

What you will do

Balance customer needs, business goals and technical trade-offs together with your design and development counterparts.

Lead discovery with both customers and internal users, and turn what you learn into clear priorities for the SEC development team.

Maintain a transparent roadmap and be open about trade-offs, and align teams across our organization so that new experiences plug in smoothly and new capabilities are used by all teams.

Qualification of Job

We are looking for a Product Manager who enjoys building something new from the ground up, spots what needs to be done and acts without waiting to be asked, whilst re-using components when this improves delivery speed and quality.

What you will bring

A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and at least 3 years in product management, product ownership, project management or a related field.

A structured, problem-solving approach that uses data and customer insight to challenge assumptions and turn open-ended challenges into clear roadmaps.

A customer-first mindset and a team-player attitude, sharing ownership with design and technical development as equal peers.

You set clear direction and outcomes, then empower design and development to decide how to deliver.

Capable of discussing technical trade-offs with software developers.

You are a clear and effective communicator in English and can engage confidently with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams and cultures, including explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

The ability to influence and persuade teams you do not manage, so they adopt shared solutions.

Integrity in how you work: open about trade-offs and risks, honest about what is and is not working, and careful with customer and user data.

Nice to have

Experience with platform or shared-service products, such as portals, single sign-on or design systems.

A digital product or software development background.

Experience working with distributed teams across Europe, Asia and the US.

Why work for the SEC Team in the RQI setting

Make an impact on how RQI customers use our services. You will turn a growing set of tools into one seamless experience and support Laerdal’s mission to help save one million more lives every year by 2030.

Join as the team’s first product manager and shape both how the team operates and what it delivers. SEC team has growth ambitions, and as it scales it will include new services and capabilities.

Work with many teams, from Stavanger to Copenhagen, Bangalore and the US. SEC sits at the crossroads of the RQI-P portfolio. If you enjoy working across cultures and time zones, including travel to meet stakeholders, you will thrive here.

We offer flexible workdays, with possibility for hybrid work. Some travelling will be expected.
