Ably Medical AS seeks a Product Manager to own LYNG's strategic direction, turning clinical workflows and market needs into clear requirements and a roadmap. You will voice LYNG internally and to international buyers, working with Commercial, R&D, Operations and our regulatory teams.
This stand-alone role reports to the CEO, with hands-on responsibility for product insights, usability, and AI-driven enhancements. Based in Oslo, with some travel to Europe and Norway.
Ably Medical develops LYNG, a contactless monitoring mat placed under the mattress in hospitals, nursing homes or home care. Our focus is on giving care teams useful insight while keeping everyday care simple. We bring together medical device engineering, software and clinical understanding to support a more preventive approach to healthcare.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own the strategic direction of LYNG. This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding people as much as shaping products, and who wants to make everyday care safer for patients and easier for the nurses and carers looking after them. You will own what LYNG should deliver and why – turning clinical workflows, customer needs and market opportunities into clear requirements, priorities and a product roadmap.
This is a stand‑alone, strategic role reporting directly to the CEO. You will be the voice of LYNG, both inside the company and in front of international buyers and end‑users. You will work closely with Commercial and clinical colleagues to understand users, and with R&D, Operations and our quality and regulatory team to turn insight into usable products.
We already use AI across the company. You will use AI agents in your own product work, such as customer insight, requirements and documentation.
You will join at an early stage and build product management as LYNG moves from clinical pilots toward commercial scale. Reporting to the CEO, you will have direct influence on our strategy, what we build, why we build it and the value it brings to everyday care – fewer unnecessary checks for busy nurses, safer nights for patients and more time for the care that matters. We are a small, dedicated team with a flat, Scandinavian structure, where your opinions are heard and you weigh the views of colleagues at all levels.
Gaps in any of the above may be offset by broader experience in other areas. If you have a background in clinical care and have built commercial or product experience since, we would especially like to hear from you.
You will define product needs and priorities while R&D owns technical architecture and delivery. QARA provides the quality and regulatory interface, and Operations owns manufacturing readiness. You will bring these perspectives together in product decisions, and plan releases with the CTO, Logistics and Finance so that scope, timing and cost fit together. You give the CEO a clear view of progress, risks and decisions needed.
In your first 12 months, you will set the product strategy and roadmap, and define the requirements and usability input for the next LYNG release. You will help grow sales by presenting LYNG to buyers and end‑users in our key markets. Together with the CTO, you will also make AI agents an integrated part of how we do product work.
The role is based at Oslo Science Park (Forskningsparken) in Oslo, Norway, where we are part of the Aleap health startup incubator. We also have a presence in Denmark and Germany. We work primarily on‑site, with some flexibility. Expect 2–3 trips per month, mainly in Norway and Western Europe, for customer meetings, trade fairs and clinical observations.
Submit your CV and a brief cover letter through the job portal, with non‑confidential examples of products you have helped shape. Tell us about your role, the user needs and product decisions you worked through and the outcomes, including how you turned market insight into requirements and how you have presented products to buyers. If relevant, include how you have used AI in product work. Please describe your Scandinavian, English and any German language skills.
Application deadline: 16 November 2026. Questions about the role: Peter T. Nylund, CFO (job@ablymed.com). We look forward to hearing from you.
