Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a dedicated 1 on 1 Special Education Paraprofessional for the Preschool – Early Childhood Center. In this full-time role, you will support the classroom teacher, assist in delivering instructional materials, and help ensure a positive learning environment for students with special needs.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of college or an associate degree, strong communication skills, and experience working with students.

Qualifications

Two years of college credit, an associate’s degree or passage of a State approved test required.
Ability to assist the classroom instructor with development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate and work with individual classroom instructors.
Experience working with students.
Ability to assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in a individual tutoring.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom instructor with development and presentation of learning materials.
Communicate effectively with instructors and students to support instruction.
Provide tutoring and academic support to at-risk students in classroom and small-group settings.
