Job summary

Falls Fabricating LLC in Little Falls is seeking a grinder/operator to read basic prints and routing instructions, and to operate grinders and metal removal equipment to achieve precise finishes.

The role requires knowledge of materials, safety awareness, and the ability to finish weld seams and grind parts to print according to customer drawings and shop routings.

Essential Duties

Read basic prints and shop routing instructions

Must be knowledgeable of different materials and equipment available to achieve desired results

Operate various grinders and metal removal equipment in various positions for optimum results

Finish weld seams, remove burrs, grind various weldments, tanks and reservoirs with floor type or portable grinders

Operate a variety of metal finishing tools to achieve a required finish per customer’s drawings, prints, specifications, and shop routings

Must be able to straight line and finish parts, including straight lined aluminum for anodizing

Operate air grinder, DA sander, and hand deburring tools

Deburr and grind parts to print including mild steel, stainless, and aluminum

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system

Participate as required in quality audits and in developing quality plans

Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with known and/or published safety policies

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Falls Fabricating LLC, ISO-9001:2015 Quality System

Initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support ISO-9001:2015 registration/certification

Stop production if any process adversely affects product quality

Education and/or Experience

Manufacturing Experience Preferred But Not Necessary For Position

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Constant standing and walking required
