Postdoktor in Trondheim offers an exciting 3-year postdoctoral position aimed at developing a strong research profile and preparing for a future associate professor role.

About the position

We offer an exciting 3‑year postdoctoral position that allows you to develop a strong research profile and gain experience relevant for a future associate professor role. The position may also help you acquire additional skills for your future career.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow you will belong to one of our five research centers:

• BRIDGE AI‑Lab
• Center of Accounting and Innovation in the Public Sector
• Centre for Banking and Finance
• Centre for Real Estate and Environmental Economics
• NTNU Centre for Sport Management Research

In addition, you will be expected to travel to build networks, participate in international conferences, and contribute to the research community within your chosen center.

Duties of the position

• Continue your own research activities and pursue ideas within the focus area of your selected research center.
• Contribute to international conferences and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Develop and engage in research proposals.
• Help build activity and collaboration within the research center.
• Mentor students, advising them on methodology and academic writing.

Required selection criteria

• Completion of a Norwegian doctoral degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics research, or a foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent.
• If in the final phase of your doctorate, evidence of thesis submission or confirmed defense date is acceptable. Documentation of the completed doctorate must be presented before taking up the position.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Salary and conditions

As a Postdoctoral Fellow (code 1352) you will be paid a gross annual salary of NOK 633 400 before tax. Two percent is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. The employment period is three years and is conditional on external funding.
