Job summary

The University of Stavanger invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral Fellow position in Heterogeneous Catalysis within the BioHAVEN project. You will develop and test catalysts for hydrothermal gasification of biogenic waste and for methane pyrolysis, contributing to Horizon Europe research goals.

The role includes research, teaching and supervision duties, with opportunities to develop educational competencies and a career plan.

Qualifications

• PhD in Heterogeneous Catalysis with thesis submitted and approved before appointment deadline.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen Plus/HYSYS) and reactor design is advantageous.
• Strong research project planning, integrity, collaboration, and ability to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test catalysts for hydrothermal gasification of biogenic waste.
• Develop and test catalysts for methane pyrolysis.
• Commit to full-time project work and participate in teaching and supervision.
