Job summary

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) invites applications for a 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Exposome Research and Child Immune Health. The role involves analyzing environmental exposures during early life and their impact on immune development within the EXPOSIM Horizon Europe project and PreventADALL cohort data.

The successful candidate will use multidisciplinary approaches, including mass cytometry (CyTOF), multi-omics integration, and advanced data analysis,

Qualifications

• PhD in epidemiology, environmental health, immunology, medicine or bioinformatics with defended thesis.
• Hands-on experience in biostatistics and/or bioinformatics in exposome modelling.
• Experience with R, and preferably STATA.
• Experience with writing and publishing scientific papers as the first author, with publications in the last 3 years.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse associations between environmental exposures and health outcomes using an exposome approach.
• Study immune profiles using CyTOF and inflammatory markers (OLINK) with data analysis tools.
• Publish scientific papers and internal reports and present results at conferences.
• Participate in consortium meetings and discuss plans, status and results.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers in the department and the NIPH mass cytometry platform.
