Job summary

Optimus Search is seeking an experienced Data Centre Planner for a major data centre project in Norway on a 6-month contract. Based in Oslo, you will support planning and scheduling to keep milestones on track.

You will collaborate with management, engineering, construction and subcontractors to develop programmes, monitor progress, and report against baselines using Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planner / Project Planner within the data centre sector.
• Strong understanding of data centre construction and delivery programmes.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and key milestones.
• Coordinate planning activities across multiple disciplines and work packages.
• Work closely with construction, engineering, procurement and commissioning teams.
• Analyse programme performance and identify risks, delays and dependencies.
• Produce progress reports, look-ahead schedules and schedule updates.
• Support recovery planning and mitigation strategies where required.
• Review subcontractor programmes and progress submissions.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure programme interfaces are managed effectively.
• Provide clear reporting to project and senior management teams.

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Centre Planner to join a major data centre project in Norway on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to work on a high-profile data centre programme within a rapidly expanding Nordic market.

The Role

As Data Centre Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and scheduling of project delivery, ensuring activities remain aligned with programme milestones, commercial objectives and construction requirements.

You will work closely with project management, engineering, construction, commissioning and subcontractor teams to develop, maintain and report against detailed project programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling principles.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
• Ability to analyse complex programmes and identify risks, delays and dependencies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, international project environment.
