Job summary

QuantumIT Solutions is seeking a Survey Technician for a part-time role in Alta, Norway. You will assist the surveying team with data collection, processing and CAD-based map creation, while maintaining equipment and ensuring accuracy in field measurements.

The position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, good attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Prior surveying experience is preferred but not mandatory; biometric passport or ability to obtain one is

Qualifications

• Passport or ability to obtain biometric passport is required.
• Experience in land surveying preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficient with surveying equipment and CAD software.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically fit for manual tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Part-time availability required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surveying team with setting up and operating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels.
• Collect and record accurate data in the field using GPS, robotic total stations, and electronic data collectors.
• Perform basic calculations to process collected data.
• Assist with creating maps, drawings and reports using CAD software.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
• Ensure that all work is completed according to established standards and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
