Job summary

Avanta Works is seeking a Senior Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. This remote international role involves leading design from concept to construction, mentoring a team of architects and engineers, and ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in architectural design, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp), and excellent communication. Visa sponsorship is available for non-US applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years experience in architectural design, with a focus on commercial or residential projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software programs
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations in the US
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and contractors
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept development to construction completion
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget
• Develop project proposals, including timelines, budgets, and resources required
• Oversee the work of a team of architects and engineers to ensure high-quality design solutions
• Conduct site visits and meetings with contractors to monitor progress and resolve any issues
• Review project plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance with building codes
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and new materials/products
