Job summary

SafeBox in Alta, Norway seeks a Part-Time Crane Operator to lift, move and position heavy materials on site, operating tower, mobile and overhead cranes safely.

Requirements: 2+ years crane experience, valid license, ability to read load charts, and fluent English. Norwegian is a plus. Part-time hours, with a competitive monthly salary and visa sponsorship, plus a round-trip ticket at contract start and end.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Valid crane operator license or certification required.
• Ability to read load charts and understand crane capabilities.
• English fluency; Norwegian language skills considered an asset.
• Physically fit with ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Part-time availability on weekdays or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes including tower, mobile, and overhead cranes according to safety regulations and job site requirements
• Safely rig loads for lifting and maneuvering using appropriate slings, chains, or cables
• Inspect cranes before each shift to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Communicate with ground crew and signal personnel to safely position loads
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations including load charts, maintenance logs, and safety checklists
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others on the job site
