Job summary

PeakNet in Alta, Norway is seeking a motivated Computer Support Specialist to join our team as a part-time member. You will provide technical support for computer hardware, software and networks, helping clients quickly resolve issues.

The role requires a high school diploma (IT-related degree preferred), proven experience, strong knowledge of Windows and Office, basic networking, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Visa/work permit is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in providing technical support for computer systems and networks.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information in simple terms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Own visa/work permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for clients
• Provide technical support over the phone, through email or in person
• Install and configure computer systems, printers, and other peripherals
• Maintain accurate records of all support requests
• Collaborate with team members to find solutions for complex issues
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the industry
