Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site, contract work in Gjøvik, Norway. You will support mission-critical data center infrastructure, perform installations, cabling, racking, and migrations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong physical cabling skills, server hardware familiarity, and professional English communication. On-site presence and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure.
• Proficient cable installation and testing skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in raised floor environments.
• Professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber)
• Rack, stack, and label servers
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Maintain cabling with DCIM/ticketing records
