Job summary

Energy As in Stavanger seeks a geospatial specialist to deliver trusted spatial data, maps, and technical data packages for offshore operations and surveys. You will manage, analyze, and quality-control spatial data to ensure it is complete and fit for operational use.

Maintain and improve workflows using ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, and automation tools; collaborate with users and data owners to resolve data issues and clarify requirements. Offshore experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geospatial sciences, GIS, geomatics, or related discipline.
Proven experience managing, analyzing, quality-controlling, and visualizing geospatial data.
Practical experience with ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro; ArcGIS Enterprise experience required.
Experience with FME, automation, or scripting is a significant advantage.
Experience from offshore operations, surveying, or the energy industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Deliver trusted geospatial data, maps, and technical data packages to support offshore operations, projects, and survey activities.
Manage, analyze, and quality-control spatial data to ensure it is complete and fit for operational use.
Maintain and improve geospatial workflows using ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, and supporting automation tools.
Work with users and data owners to clarify requirements and resolve data issues.
Prepare and quality-control maps, charts, data packages, and other geospatial deliverables.
Contribute to maintenance of data models, standards, and procedures.
Identify recurring needs and convert manual activities into documented, repeatable workflows.
Support users through troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, and guidance.
