Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in metalworking preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment necessary for metal fabrication.
• Strong understanding of different metals and their properties.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute metal fabrication projects.
• Operate machinery including saws, shears, drills, grinders, and welders to cut, shape, and join metal pieces.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and files to shape and smooth metal pieces.
• Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces accurately.
• Inspect materials for defects or imperfections before beginning fabrication process.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within deadlines.
