The role involves assisting with supplier coordination, data analysis in Excel, and collaboration with marketing for promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in retail merchandising or purchasing roles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Merchandiser in selecting and purchasing products based on sales data and customer demand.
• Conduct market research to identify new trends and products.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any potential shortages or overstock situations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices, place orders, and track delivery dates.
• Create purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all purchases.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt of products.
• Prepare reports on sales data, inventory levels, and product performance.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for specific products.
• Assist with product pricing and markdowns as needed.
