Job summary

The University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Mental Health Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients with mental health conditions. Nurses will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers to assess, treat, and support patients.

Placement levels range from entry to experienced practitioner, with compensation determined at offer based on competencies and experience.

Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if switching residency to Utah.
Must maintain current Interstate Compact (multi-state) license if residency is not being changed to Utah.

Responsibilities

Mental Health nurses provide specialized care to individuals experiencing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders.
They work in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and support patients in various settings.
The final position level and corresponding compensation will be determined at the time of offer, based on competencies, experience, and alignment with the requirements of each level within the practice setting.
