Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Project Engineer for the SES team in Stord, Norway to develop and deliver control systems for electric and hybrid marine solutions. You will work across hardware/software platforms with mentoring until you gain autonomy.

You will program SCADA/PLC systems, work with data networks and cyber security, and document deliveries while collaborating with an international team on customer projects. Travel occasionally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical power or equivalent experience.
• Interest in PCs, data networks and programming.
• Ability to work systematically with high quality in mind.
• Good English language skills, Norwegian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver control systems for electric and hybrid marine applications.
• Program SCADA/PLC systems.
• Manage data networks and cyber security.
• Configure and test computers, PLCs and data networks in the lab.
• Document deliveries.
• Work in an international environment.
• Take responsibility for own customer projects.
