Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Manager at our Brattvåg factory, reporting to the VP Operations and joining the Operations team in the Handling Business unit at KONGSBERG Maritime AS. As a leading manufacturer of hydraulic and electric Deck Machinery, we are seeking a results-driven leader to oversee all production activities, including Production, Warehouse, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance. You will be responsible for around 70 employees, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and on-time deliveries, while driving performance and continuous improvement as part of the Operations management team.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for delivering products / services as agreed to our customers at the right time, cost and quality
• Responsible for Load and Capacity planning of the factory
• Owner of the budget for Manufacturing in Brattvåg, this includes setting the budget, monitoring and controlling so we ensure we achieve our targets
• Ensuring that Manufacturing in Brattvåg is complying to our Health, Safety & Environment Policy and procedures
• Overall personnel responsibility for department managers and responsible for ensuring sufficient and correct competence in the manufacturing organization
• Owning and developing production strategies and improvements for the factory

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant BSc/MSc degree in production leadership, but experience from leadership roles in a manufacturing company can replace formal education
• You should have held leading roles in a manufacturing company and be able to show experience in implementing changes in a manufacturing company
• An advantage if you have experience in leading other managers
• You have previous experience in organizing the department for development and efficient operations
• You have good communications skills in Norwegian and English, both written as well as orally
