Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) seeks a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from terminals to SRM plants, supporting smooth operations.

You’ll perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and coordinate deliveries with dispatch while ensuring secure loading and on-time service.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, at least 2 years’ tanker experience, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with or without Tanker Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• At least 2 years of experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record in last 5 years.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck transporting cement to SRM plants.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain logs and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT.
• Coordinate with dispatch and provide route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent contamination.
• Adhere to routes, schedules, and safety procedures.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
• Stay current on safety regulations and SRM policies.
