Job summary

LSEG D&A Commodity Research is seeking an LNG Senior Analyst to join our Global Gas Research team. You will deliver market data, build forecasts, and publish reports for Natural Gas and LNG markets.

Join a team that develops in-house models, ensures data quality, and supports client inquiries with robust, analytic insights. Strong stats background and programming with MATLAB/Python/R are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis of commodity fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• BA/BSc or MSc in relevant field or equivalent experience in commodities markets.
• Solid grounding in statistics and/or operational research.
• Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or R.
• Experience with LNG market knowledge is preferable.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret complex market data to deliver actional insights and forward-looking forecasts.
• Deliver robust, data-driven views on short-, medium- and long-term LNG market fundamentals.
• Develop in-house market models and continuously improve modelling tools and processes.
• Ensure data quality, timeliness, and completeness across research outputs.
• Support improvements to content and design of analytical tools, charts and tables.
• Monitor LNG trade flows and ensure data quality.
• Engage with clients by attending meetings and responding to queries regarding market content and models.
