Job summary

KSAT is seeking a Head of Payload for KSAT Hyper to serve as the internal technical authority for the Hyper payload, owning end-to-end delivery from concept through in-orbit demonstration. This Norway-based leadership role requires close governance of external suppliers, cross‑lane coordination, and clear requirement flow-down across partners, bus and ground segments.

You will chair gate reviews, manage risk and schedules, and represent the payload in customer and launch-readiness discussions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field.
• 8+ years in spacecraft communications, payload integration, or RF systems engineering in lead roles.
• Experience managing external suppliers through requirements, qualification, review, and acceptance.
• Based in Norway and eligible to work in Norway.

Responsibilities

• Own the Hyper payload end-to-end from concept to flight delivery.
• Coordinate external payload and communications suppliers and oversee SOW.
• Lead gate reviews (KO, PDR, CDR, TRR) with defined criteria.
• Manage payload risk, schedule inputs, and reporting.
• Oversee calibration and in-orbit test campaigns.
• Represent payload in customer and launch-readiness discussions.
