Job summary
SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Shop Manager / Diesel Mechanic in Time, Norway. You will lead a team of mechanics, perform repairs on diesel trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment, and mentor staff to uphold safety and quality.
This role blends leadership with direct mechanical work, demanding strong organization and problem-solving. You will oversee shop operations, schedule maintenance with operations, and ensure accurate records while staying current with diesel technology and industry best
Qualifications
- Experience as Diesel Mechanic or Shop Manager in heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to mentor and lead a shop team.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
- Commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor mechanics, enforce safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Schedule maintenance with operations to minimize downtime.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance work.
- Stay current on diesel tech and best practices.
