Job summary

Workato in Os, Norway is seeking a Junior DevOps Developer to support the design and operation of our software systems. You will work with the development team to implement deployment processes and help manage cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field, hands-on DevOps exposure, knowledge of AWS/Azure, Docker, Python, Git and Terraform, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job description

As a Junior DevOps Developer you will be responsible for supporting the development and operations of our companys software systems. Your main tasks will include collaborating with the development team to design and implement efficient deployment processes, managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and continuously improving our automation tools and systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting any issues that arise during development or in production environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the development team to design and implement efficient deployment processes for new software releases
• Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure including servers, networks, databases and storage systems
• Continuously improve automation tools and systems to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during development or in production environments
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of new features into existing systems
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to DevOps practices

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience working as a DevOps Developer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms eg AWS, Azure virtualization technologies eg Docker and scripting languages eg Python
• Familiarity with source control management tools eg Git continuous integration, continuous delivery CICD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code frameworks eg Terraform
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Knowledge of networking concepts eg TCP/IP, DNS
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
