Job summary

MapleGroves in Alta, Norway is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Computer Research Scientist to join our team. You will work closely with our senior researchers to develop and implement cutting-edge computer research projects on a contract basis.

This role welcomes students or those without prior experience and offers opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, and gain hands-on data analysis experience using C++, Java, Python, R or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field required or expected.
• Strong understanding of programming languages such as C++, Java and Python.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as R or Tableau would be advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and experiments in the field of computer science.
• Collaborate with senior researchers on projects and contribute to the development of new ideas.
• Analyze data and present findings in an organized and clear manner.
• Write reports and documentation on research processes and results.
• Stay updated on latest advancements in computer science through attending conferences, workshops and reading articles.
• Assist with data collection, organization and maintenance as needed.
