Job summary

GulfSea Services in Alta, Norway is seeking a friendly Junior Barista to join a busy coffee shop. You will prepare and serve coffee and tea, interact with customers, and help maintain a clean, organized bar.

Junior Barista (Alta, Norway)

We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Junior Barista to join our team at a bustling coffee shop in Alta, Norway. As a Junior Barista, you will be responsible for serving top-quality coffee and other beverages to our customers while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to company standards
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
• Welcome customers with a warm and friendly attitude, taking their orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide recommendations on drinks and pastries based on customer preferences
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash-handling procedures
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and allergens
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and merchandise
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and drink preparation
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in barista skills is a plus
• Previous experience as a Barista is not required but preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Salary & Benefits

• This position offers a competitive salary of 1500$ per month along with opportunities for growth within the company.
