Job summary

AquaGen AS in Trondheim is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to develop and manage infrastructure and analytics solutions across AWS, Azure and our Fabric data platform. You will act as a technical link between internal teams and external partners to ensure secure, efficient data flows and integrations that support research, production, reporting and data sharing.

• Develop and maintain integrations and technical interfaces between systems, data sources, cloud platforms and production-related solutions.
• Technical responsibility for our R&D department compute and analytics platform on AWS.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement through shell scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Contribute to secure, stable and auditable operations through configuration management and change control.

We are looking for an IT Cloud Platform Engineer Technology and data is a key driver to AquaGen’s development across production, research and administration. To strengthen our internal expertise, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer. In this newly established role, you will develop and manage infrastructure and analytics solutions in AWS, Azure and our Fabric data platform. Acting as a technical link between internal expert teams and external technology partners, you will ensure that Aquagen’s platforms, dataflows and integrations support research, production, reporting and datasharing in a secure and efficient way.

You will be supported by a strong team You will be part of AquaGen’s IT and digital team, working closely with the IT Manager, our R&D department, production OT and other subject matter experts and external technology partners. You will have significant influence within your area of expertise, while architecture, priorities, and technology choices are developed and aligned in close collaboration with relevant expert teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud, analytic and platform infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain integrations and technical interfaces between systems, data sources, cloud platforms and production-related solutions.
• Technical responsibility for our R&D department compute and analytics platform on AWS
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement through shell scripting, (e.g. Bash), and Infrastructure as Code.
• Contribute to secure, stable and auditable operations through configuration management, technical documentation, change control and risk-mitigation measures.
• Work closely with R&D, production, specialist functions and external technology partners to develop effective cloud, data and analytics solutions that support both research and production.

Professional Qualifications

• Higher education in IT or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid experience with cloud and platform technology, primarily AWS and secondarily Azure. A willingness and motivation to work across both platforms is essential.
• Experience with integrations, enterprise systems and service integration.
• Experience with secure configuration and cloud/platform security.
• Experience with automation, scripting, programming or Infrastructure as Code.
