Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior/Principal Instrumentation Engineer for our Bergen office. You will lead instrumentation design, participate in studies, and ensure delivery of instrument packages for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects.

You will bring 8+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of brownfield modifications, and proficiency in ATEX, NORSOK, ProCoSys and ARIS. Fluent Norwegian and English are required, and on-site presence in Bergen is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of offshore/onshore oil & gas instrumentation experience.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and operating facilities.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in oil & gas.

Responsibilities

One of our client are looking for a Senior/Principal Instrument engineer to their office in Bergen

Job Responsibilities:

• Detailed design of instrumentation tasks.

• Participate in studies.

• Estimate instrumentation tasks.

• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.

• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).

• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.

• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.

• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.

• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.

• Perform as-built.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware.

• Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in VEM.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.

• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.

• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and work on operating facilities.

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

• Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.

• Experience with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.

• Ability to take ownership of engineering activities and support project execution from study phase through completion.

• Experience with preparatiln of tenders, tie-back developments, and metering systems is considered an advantage.

Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken

Certificate, valid

• Basic EX course

• FSE high- and low voltage with practical first aid

• Offshore certificate with Helicopter Escape Training

• Health certificate
