Job summary

BlueHorizon in Os, Norway, is seeking an industrial architect to design and oversee factories, warehouses and manufacturing plants. You will translate client needs into functional, cost-effective designs and prepare drawings, blueprints and specifications for construction.

You will monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes, and manage budgets and timelines across multiple projects while coordinating with clients, contractors and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial architecture or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software.

As an industrial architect you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various industrial structures such as factories, warehouses and manufacturing plants. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop innovative, functional and cost-effective designs that meet their requirements. Your role will also involve preparing detailed drawings, blueprints and specifications for construction projects as well as overseeing the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the design plans.

To excel in this role you should have a strong understanding of building materials and techniques used in industrial construction. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think creatively to come up with practical solutions for complex design challenges. Additionally, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage time and resources are crucial for success in this position.
