KRUSH TECH AS is seeking a Hardware Engineer in Oslo to steer the hardware lifecycle from concept to prototype testing. You will design digital, analog and power circuits, develop schematics, and drive PCB layout while collaborating with RF, software and mechanical teams.
The role demands hands-on hardware bring-up, robust understanding of PCB manufacturing (DFM/DFT) and experience with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
Design digital, analog, and power circuits, develop schematics, and coordinate PCB layout from concept to prototype testing.
You will be involved throughout the hardware development lifecycle, working closely with electronics, RF, software and mechanical engineers.
You will have the opportunity to work across digital and analog electronics, power electronics, PCB design, high-speed interfaces and RF integration, while being directly involved in bringing new hardware to life.
Design digital, analog and power supply circuits, including their integration into RF systems
Develop schematics, select components and define hardware architectures
Coordinate and contribute to PCB layout and routing
Perform circuit calculations and component placement, including connectors, indicators and other system interfaces
Design PCBs according to DFM and DFT principles
Work closely with mechanical engineers on thermal management, shielding and mechanical integration
Support hardware development from initial concept through prototype, testing and production
Bring up and debug prototype hardware in the laboratory
Identify design issues, investigate root causes and implement improvements
Perform hardware measurements and validation using laboratory equipment
Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners where required
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs and hardware specifications
You have a strong foundation in electronics engineering and enjoy working on complex hardware where performance and reliability matter.
You have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field
Strong practical experience designing digital, analog and power circuits
Experience developing complex electronic hardware and PCBs
Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing and DFM/DFT principles
Experience with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro or similar
Good understanding of hardware interfaces such as SPI, UART, I²C, CAN, USB, Ethernet and LVDS
Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and logic analysers
Strong understanding of PCB layout principles and best practices
Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging and prototype validation
Experience with the following is an advantage:
Signal integrity analysis and simulation
EMC/EMI compliance and testing
High-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB 3.x and LVDS
High-speed digital design and challenging signal-integrity environments
This is not a role where you design a small part of an established product and hand it over to someone else.
You will be involved in the journey from circuit concept → schematic → PCB → prototype → laboratory testing → debugging → optimisation.
You will work on hardware where performance, size, power consumption, signal integrity and reliability all matter — and where solving one problem can require you to look across the entire system.
You can expect:
Challenging work across analog, digital, power, RF and high-speed electronics
Significant technical ownership and influence over hardware design decisions
Hands-on access to prototypes and laboratory equipment
Close collaboration with engineers across hardware, software, RF and mechanical disciplines
The opportunity to work on new designs rather than simply maintain existing hardware
A technically ambitious environment where good engineering ideas are encouraged
The chance to develop solutions that move from schematic to functioning hardware
