Job summary

Director, Group Health & Safety at Telenor ASA in Norway will lead and shape the Group-wide Health & Safety strategy, governance framework, policies and standards globally. You will oversee risk management, incident learning and reporting across Business Units and markets, supporting a consistent, data-driven safety culture across the group.

You will collaborate with senior leaders across functions and geographies to ensure effective governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Higher education in a relevant field and substantial Health & Safety experience.
• Experience shaping Health & Safety governance, strategy and policies.
• Proven ability to lead improvements in a complex, international environment.
• Strong risk management, incident handling and investigations capabilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with senior stakeholder influence.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams across markets and cultures.
• Track record of delivering data-driven governance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously develop Telenor's Group-wide Health & Safety strategy, governance framework, policies and standards.
• Ensure consistent implementation of Health & Safety requirements across Business Units and markets.
• Maintain oversight of critical Health & Safety risks, performance and mitigation activities, enabling informed decision-making across the Group.
• Lead Group-wide incident management, and support reporting, corrective actions and organisational learning related to serious incidents.
• Deliver clear and timely Health & Safety and ESG reporting, insights and recommendations to Group Management and the Telenor ASA Board.
• Provide expert guidance and support on Health & Safety, risk management and regulatory compliance to Business Units and Group functions.
• Drive continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture through capability building, assurance activities, performance insights and the adoption of data-driven and technology-enabled practices, including AI where relevant.
