Job summary

We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Svalbard. As a Full-Stack Developer you will be responsible for designing building and maintaining high-quality web applications from front-end to back-end.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and design responsive user interfaces
• Develop front-end website architecture with a focus on user experience
• Design and implement efficient, secure and scalable server-side code that powers the web application
• Write clean well-documented and reusable code using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack from front-end to database
• Integrate data storage solutions such as databases, key-value stores, blob stores into the web application
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role
• Proficient in front-end development languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript along with modern libraries like React or Angular
• Strong understanding of server-side programming languages such as Python or Java
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of security principles and how they apply to web development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month without accommodation.

Location

This position is located in Svalbard. While it is preferred that the candidate is a resident of Svalbard or willing to relocate at their own expense, remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
