Job summary

eBay is seeking a Fraud & Risk Agent in Oslo to help keep our marketplace safe by investigating fraud, scams and account abuse. You’ll assess multiple data sources, make sound risk-based decisions, and provide clear support to customers in complex cases.

You’ll collaborate with Safety & Trust and other teams while building expertise in fraud and marketplace safety. Relevant experience in customer support or risk roles is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgement and attention to detail.
• Ability to assess different sources of information and make decisions.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with others.
• Relevant experience in customer support, case management, fraud, scams, payments, Trust & Safety, or marketplace operations is an advantage.
• You may be a recent graduate with relevant part-time or student experience, or have a few years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve cases related to fraud, scams, misuse of accounts and other Safety & Trust concerns.
• Assess user, account, listing, transaction and behavioural information to make well-founded decisions.
• Provide clear and helpful support to customers, including in sensitive or complex situations.
• Identify suspicious activity, recurring patterns and emerging threats and share findings as needed.
• Detail decisions and work in line with policies to ensure consistent, efficient case handling.
• Build expertise in fraud, risk and marketplace safety while collaborating with colleagues across teams.
